MLC is a charity community facility offering a gym, fitness classes, virtual studio, spin room, 3G pitch, sports hall space, function and meeting room hire, and a licensed bar and coffee shop.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Measham Leisure Centre stands on the site of the former Measham Miners Welfare Social Club, a place that served the local community for many years. Following the devastating fire that destroyed the social club towards the end of the millennium, a new vision emerged: to create a modern, inclusive facility that would continue to serve the people of Measham for generations to come.
That vision became Measham Leisure Centre – a multi-purpose community hub designed to provide local residents with a welcoming space for recreation, wellbeing, and social connection. Today, we are proud to offer a facility that supports individuals, families, and groups from Measham and the surrounding areas.
As a registered charity, our mission is simple: to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of our community. This commitment shapes everything we do, from the activities and services we provide to the continual development of our facilities.
Every pound we generate is reinvested directly back into the centre, helping us maintain and improve the amenities available to our users. We have no shareholders or highly paid directors. Instead, we are guided by a dedicated Board of Trustees who are passionate about providing a valuable local resource and ensuring that Measham Leisure Centre remains a thriving community asset for years to come.
STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES
Measham Leisure centre is a 'not-for-profit' charity facility with a state-of-the-art gym, Virtual studio and Spin room. There are 20+ instructor led fitness classes per week ranging from high intensity Pump Fitness, stretch classes such as Pilates to Seated Aerobics for those who need a lower paced exercise program.
We have a 7 a side floodlit 3G pitch, sports hall with 2 courts for basketball, badminton, pickleball, short tennis, table tennis and much more.
